Missing the Sunday Church Service during the Covid-19 lockdown
My family has been attending the Sunday worship service at a neighbourhood Church for almost twenty years. We have always looked forward to that special day of the week where we could just leave our worries behind and engage in the worship service and participating in the communal prayer with the Church community.
Ever since the authorities implemented lockdown measures in my part of the world, social gatherings of all kinds, including religious services, have been restricted. And we really miss hearing the word of God from the church pulpit and the opportunity to fellowship with other believers.
These days we have been engaging in personal prayers, always remembering to ask for God’s mercy and deliverance from the virus pandemic and to thank the Lord for all the goodness and the blessings He has bestowed upon us.
We look forward keenly to the day when the lockdown will be lifted and we can worship the Lord in the House of God once again.
